Village Halls – Victoria, Elizabeth, Methodist & Hinton Halls The halls will be available to stall holders from 7.00 am (opening at 9.00 am) There are two small car parks, which will be reserved for traders in the Victoria and Elizabeth Halls. When you pay for your booking, we will allocate a parking space for you. Parking is at a premium. Please avoid bringing large vans or trailers as turning and parking them may end up as a 'youtube' hit. Unloading only, on the High Street. If you are allocated a pitch in the Hinton Hall, parking may be available in the car park immediately outside, but the access is a little bit difficult. Anything bigger than a transit van could have difficulty making the turn from the highway. NB In the event of bad weather, we may have to use the car park for other traders and parking will be reallocated a short walk away from the Hall. If you need a particular location eg against a wall or near to a power-point do enquire, but book as soon as possible. Stalls are only secured when paid for. As traders book, we will aim to group ‘Antiques’ or ‘Vintage’ together.
Pre-bookable pitches on hard-standing – these pitches are centrally located in the High Street in small private car parks. There are no facilities provided, but there is the advantage of being able to pre-book and have an allocated space. The surfacing is tarmac – you will not be able to fix any kind of gazebo, but you will be able to keep your vehicle with you. All reserved pitches must be paid for not less than 5 days before, otherwise you may lose your reservation.
*When you book and pay for your stall, on request you may be added to our swish ‘Brocante & Vide-Greniers’ website and location noted (FREE). If this appeals then send brief information and pictures by email to the webmaster If you have a business we will also add a live link. Booking forms pdf see above . Please return the booking form with your cheque made payable to ‘Tisbury Parish Council’ to arrive not later than 5 days before the event. Please enclose a copy of your up to date public liability insurance if applicable. Reservations not paid for on time are at risk of being re-allocated.
The address for payments, as follows: The Clerk to the Council Tisbury Parish Council, The Reading Room, High St, Tisbury, Wiltshire SP3 6LD If you prefer, you may pay by BACS, details are on the booking forms.
Enquiries, email email@example.com
*Recreation Ground The outside pitches on the Recreation Ground will be available on the day - first come; first served - available from 7.00 am - £30 per pitch and £50 for a double. No pre-booking available, except in the marquees. Ground conditions permitting, you should be able to keep your vehicle with you – the site manager’s decision is final. In the event of inclement weather, please check the website for latest information, before starting out.
*Please don’t bring large lorries, trailers or horse-boxes as they will NOT get down the slope at the entrance. Tables and chairs are not provided for outside pitches. No generators allowed. There will be temporary toilets available at the Recreation Ground, as well as public toilets near the car park in The Avenue.
*Insurance As a participant, you are responsible for your own insurance cover for loss or damage to goods or stock and you are very strongly advised to have public liability insurance. Tisbury Parish Council’s public liability insurance covers the overall event, but the Parish Council’s insurances will not extend to any cover for your property or stock, or any actions or omissions for which you may be deemed personally responsible. Please enclose a photocopy of your PL insurance certificate with your booking form if a business seller.
*Cash points and ATM *There is a cash machine outside the Co-op but it’s likely to be emptied by 9.30 at the latest so do remember to bring cash. The Esso at Willoughby Hedge on the A303 has a machine but is a few miles distant. Don’t rely on being able to use remote credit or debit card facilities as reception in Tisbury can be very variable.
Catering There are two pubs and Beatons Tea Rooms in Tisbury High St; plus food shops (Co-op, the Butcher and The Deli) which sell sandwiches, ready made pies etc. There will be a ‘Vintage’ café in the Reading Room, opposite the Benett at the top of the High Street, serving teas, coffees and cakes. Pizza baking at the Benett plus event caterers in the High St and also on the recreation ground.
We hope that the whole village will get involved and support this free fun day, attracting lots of visitors. Get into the spirit, wear vintage clothes, decorate your stalls and businesses with bunting and have a great day!
